My Artwork featured on a Blog!

I just received an email from Penelope at PenelopeRed's Etsy shop She has featured my Venus Collage on her blog "The World of Ms. Penelope Red"

An hommage to "The Birth of Venus" a painting by Sandro Botticelli.

This modern abstract collage was created with artist grade acrylic paints, found & prepared papers. Two coats of gloss varnish have been applied to assure long life and protection against UV rays.

The canvas used is 3/4 inch deep staple-free canvas. The sides are painted black.

Artwork arrives ready to hang with a certificate of authenticity.

The original painting depicts the goddess Venus, having emerged from the sea as a full grown woman, arriving at the sea-shore (Venus Anadyomene motif). The painting is currently in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. Here it is:

It sort of reminds me of mona lisa, but this one definitely looks feminine. I like the choice of contrasting colors.
